
Sugary drinks are major contributors to poor diet and rising obesity rates. Today, Americans are consuming about 300 more calories a day and almost half of these extra calories come from sugary drinks. Consumption in children and adolescents has been increasing as well, with sugary drinks being the largest source of added sugars in the diet of our youth.
